Human systems telemetry feeds into a wider operations environment: mission control software, planning systems, situational awareness tools and the decision workflows built around them.

## THE INTEGRATION REQUIREMENT

A flight surgeon monitoring crew state during extravehicular activity works inside a mission operations environment. Physiological data must correlate with timeline, consumables, vehicle state and environmental conditions.

Telemetry that cannot integrate into that environment is not used. The [PULSE layer](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse) publishes documented interfaces and an exportable data schema for this reason.

## CAPABILITY GAP

Vehicle telemetry in operational programmes is mature and comprehensively instrumented. Crew telemetry, outside a small number of agency programmes, is not.

[Pulse.Joint](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/joint) addresses that gap across land, sea, air and space operations.

## SUPPLIER POSITION

The United States carries the largest human spaceflight programme demand and the deepest defence procurement market. Direct entry for a foreign supplier is constrained by export control, security and qualification requirements.

The available route is subcontractor: supplying subsystems, components or [validation services](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove) into established prime and programme relationships. Switching costs in human-rated systems include requalifying the replacement, which makes qualified positions durable.

## ALLIED CONTEXT

Allied supply chain diversification is stated policy across defence and space. The supplier base for suits, life support and human systems telemetry is narrow.

AUKUS Pillar II identifies capabilities integrated by design and interchangeable across partner militaries as a requirement, which favours open architectures and shared data schemas.

## SEQUENCE

Partnerships of this type progress through technical integration and interface work, then joint demonstration, then programme participation.
