Kernel360 launched in late 2024. Metakosmos described it as commercial software for [space](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/space)suit and bioastronautics intelligence, covering pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight phases.

## CAPABILITIES AT RELEASE

Kernel360 tracks biomarker data, environmental conditions and suit integrity in real time. It integrates telemetry software with modular suit design to provide performance monitoring across [land](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/land), [sea](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/sea), [air](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/air) and space.

The release included a simulation environment drawing on real-time operations, digital twins and suit telemetry, adaptable from underwater simulation through to full mission environments.

## ARCHITECTURE

The software launched with a modular open architecture supporting integration with third-party applications. Alzadhar Al-Sanai, a Saudi real-time operations company, integrated through its environmental intelligence application at launch.

## BETA TESTING

The Kolling Institute was a beta testing partner. Professor James Elliott said the combined expertise of Metakosmos and researchers from Kolling and INSIGHT was breaking new collaborative ground in wearable technology for extreme environments.

## SUPPORT AND RECOGNITION

Development was supported by the Australian Space Agency's Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability Improvement Grant. The beta version received an Australian Good Design Award in 2024.

## CURRENT FORM

The architecture now forms the [PULSE telemetry layer](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse), with variants for land, sea, air, space and [joint operations](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/joint). The simulation element became [SYNSUIT](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove/synsuit) within the validation apparatus.

## TRAINING ECONOMICS

Astronaut training capacity is constrained by facility access, suit availability and instructor time. Simulation reproducing mission conditions in a virtual environment addresses all three.

CEO Kiriti Rambhatla described the release as a milestone in the commercial human spaceflight lifecycle, and noted its application to extreme operators across land, sea and air.
