The Industrial Market for Human Systems Monitoring

Alzadhar Al-Sanai, which trades in English as Industrial Prosperity, led the Metakosmos pre-seed round. Its own business is real-time environmental monitoring for governments and industry, and the industrial application of the platform rests on a physiological equivalence rather than a marketing adjacency.

THE SHARED PHYSIOLOGY

A worker in an encapsulating ensemble in a heat-stressed environment faces the same physiological situation as an astronaut on extravehicular activity. Metabolic heat accumulates with limited means of rejection. Protective equipment restricts mobility and dexterity. Communication degrades. Cognitive performance declines before the individual recognises it.

The PULSE telemetry layer is domain-agnostic at the architectural level for that reason.

REGULATORY DRIVER

Occupational heat exposure regulation has tightened across jurisdictions. NIOSH criteria and OSHA guidance direct employers toward physiological monitoring and evidence-based work-rest scheduling.

An employer able to produce a per-worker, per-shift exposure record occupies a different legal and insurance position from one that cannot.

APPLICATIONS

The land domain carries most industrial demand: hazardous industrial operations, CBRN response, firefighting, polar and remote field work and mining.

The sea domain covers offshore energy and commercial diving, where incident costs are high and bottom time optimisation converts into productive hours.

REVENUE TIMING

Space qualification timelines are long and revenue follows programme funding cycles. Industrial and safety markets buy on faster cycles against clearer commercial returns.

Industrial deployment also produces operational data across a larger user population than early space programmes, and operational data improves the physiological models used in every domain.

TWO-WAY TRANSFER

Occupational health holds decades of heat strain and exposure evidence at population scale that spaceflight does not. Technology transfer in human systems runs in both directions, which is the basis of the four-domain structure.
