Apple TV Carries Suited for the Stars Globally

Apple TV carries Suited for the Stars globally.

The release places the Metakosmos programme in front of viewers with no prior connection to aerospace, defence or the space sector.

SUBJECT

A modern suit is a pressure vessel, a thermal management system, a life support plant, a communications node, a radiation and impact barrier, and an instrumentation platform, sized to fit a moving human body.

NASA describes a spacesuit as a one-person spacecraft.

TERRESTRIAL APPLICATION

The same engineering serves firefighters, divers, miners, emergency responders, polar researchers and aircrew.

The platform covers four operating domains: land, sea, air and space.

PUBLIC PROGRAMMES

Metakosmos runs public engagement through ENGAGE as a platform layer, covering science programmes and museum partnerships, expos and technology demonstrations, live events, concept exploration and educational programmes.

Specialist capability in life support engineering, space medicine and extreme environment physiology develops over years. Public programmes reach students before recruitment does.

STATUS

The documentary is a public account of a company and its work. It is not a technical certification and confers no operational qualification.

The engineering is documented at metakosmos.co/platform, with qualification evidence generated through PROVE.

COMPANY RECORD

Registered in Sydney in 2020 and launched publicly in 2022, Metakosmos has since received an Australian Space Agency Moon to Mars grant, Engineering Business of the Year at AusSpace24, a $2 million pre-seed round, and an Australian Good Design Award for Kernel360.

PLATFORM

Six layers cover hardware, telemetry, validation, deployment, research and public programmes.

DOMAINS ON SCREEN

The documentary covers work spanning subsea operations, high-altitude flight, CBRN and hazardous ground environments, and orbital and lunar operations. The physics differ between them; the physiology of the person inside the suit does not.
