[Suited for the Stars](https://tv.apple.com/au/movie/suited-for-the-stars/umc.cmc.6uk1ff80nkzji0op1l8kcq61n) is streaming globally on Apple TV, with a listing on [IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35198637/).

The documentary was announced in January 2025 as a behind-the-scenes account of the company's work on the Kosmosuit platform. Co-founder Renuka Rambhatla said at the announcement that the company was just getting started.

## WHAT IT COVERS

The film follows Metakosmos from a company registered in Sydney in 2020, held in stealth until its public launch in 2022, to one building integrated human systems for extreme environments.

Its subject is the argument that human spaceflight's constraint is the person inside the mission rather than the vehicle.

## FOUR DOMAINS

The company's work spans [subsea operations](https://www.metakosmos.co/sea), [high-altitude flight](https://www.metakosmos.co/air), [CBRN and hazardous ground environments](https://www.metakosmos.co/land) and [orbital and lunar operations](https://www.metakosmos.co/space).

Cardiac output, thermoregulation, cognitive load under stress and fatigue accumulation follow the same physiology in all four. Sensing architecture and validation methodology transfer between them; barrier and pressure layers do not.

## COMPANY RECORD

March 2024: Australian Space Agency Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability grant. July 2024: Engineering Business of the Year at AusSpace24. August 2024: $2 million pre-seed round. Late 2024: Kernel360 launch and Australian Good Design Award. December 2024: India office opened.

The work is now organised as the [Human Systems Infrastructure Platform](https://www.metakosmos.co/platform) across hardware, telemetry, validation and deployment layers.

## STATUS

A documentary is a public account of a company and its work. It is not a technical certification and confers no operational qualification.

The engineering case rests on [validation evidence](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove), research partnerships and grant-funded technology readiness work.

## COMPANY POSITION

The platform is pre-qualification for flight systems. Research relationships run with the University of Technology Sydney, the Kolling Institute, CSIRO and the Department of Defence.
