A $2 million pre-seed round closed on 20 August 2024, led by Saudi Arabian technology group Alzadhar Al-Sanai and [carried by Medianet](https://newshub.medianet.com.au/2024/08/space-tech-startup-metakosmos-closes-pre-seed-round-to-propel-next-milestone-development/62595/).

## USE OF FUNDS

Co-founder Renuka Rambhatla identified the critical milestone as scaling the proprietary Kosmosuit platform across hardware, software and services.

CEO Kiriti Rambhatla said the investors shared the company's vision for enabling new markets in human spaceflight services.

## INVESTOR

Alzadhar Al-Sanai operates real-time monitoring systems for environmental factors, supplying governments and industry. The company had partnered with Metakosmos earlier in 2024.

CEO Aziz AlOthman identified Australia, the United States, India and emerging space economies including Saudi Arabia as target markets.

## PRECEDING MILESTONES

March 2024: $250,000 Australian Space Agency grant under the Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability programme, one of twelve Australian projects sharing more than $9 million aligned with NASA's Artemis programme.

July 2024: Engineering Business of the Year at AusSpace24, the Australian Space Summit and Exhibition.

## WHAT FOLLOWED

Kernel360, the company's telemetry and human performance software, launched in October and November 2024 and received an Australian Good Design Award. The India office opened in December 2024.

## COMPANY BACKGROUND

Metakosmos was registered in Sydney in 2020, operated in stealth until its public launch in 2022, and works across land, sea, air and space. Coverage at the time described a team of engineers, medical doctors and scientists.
