Kernel360 launched in October and November 2024 as [space](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/space)suit telemetry and human performance software, integrating telemetry with modular suit design across [land](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/land), [sea](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/sea), [air](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/air) and space.

The beta version received an Australian Good Design Award in 2024 for engineering excellence. Development was supported by the Australian Space Agency's Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability Improvement Grant.

## CAPABILITIES

Real-time tracking of biomarker data, environmental conditions and suit integrity.

A simulation environment drawing on real-time operations, digital twins and suit telemetry, adaptable from underwater simulation through to full mission environments.

## STATED AIMS

CEO Kiriti Rambhatla described the system as combining advanced telemetry with modular suit design to provide insight into performance across multiple environments, designed for extreme conditions generally rather than for space alone.

The company stated an intention to work with agencies including NASA, ESA and ISRO alongside private operators.

## ARCHITECTURE

The software launched with a modular open architecture supporting third-party integration. Alzadhar Al-Sanai integrated through its environmental intelligence application at launch.

The Kolling Institute served as a beta testing partner.

## CURRENT FORM

The architecture became the [PULSE layer](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse), with variants for land, sea, air, space and [joint operations](https://www.metakosmos.co/pulse/joint).

The simulation element became [SYNSUIT](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove/synsuit), running alongside [SUITRIX test rigs](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove/suitrix) and [SYNHUM human surrogates](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove/synhum) within the validation apparatus.

## PRECEDING MILESTONES

March 2024: Australian Space Agency Moon to Mars grant. July 2024: Engineering Business of the Year at AusSpace24. August 2024: $2 million pre-seed round led by Alzadhar Al-Sanai.

## STATUS

A design award is peer recognition of engineering and design quality. It is not a technical certification.

## GOVERNMENT SUPPORT

The 50,000 Moon to Mars award to Metakosmos was made in March 2024, one of twelve Australian projects sharing more than $9 million.
