Startup Daily Details the Kosmosuit Architecture

The Kosmosuit consists of a base layer, exosuits and proprietary telemetry software, built modularly for a range of conditions, according to Startup Daily's coverage of the August 2024 pre-seed round.

BASE LAYER

The base layer is in continuous contact with the operator across a mission, which makes it the instrumentation point. It carries physiological sensing, thermal management and injury protection.

It is largely common across environments, because the body it interfaces with does not change. That work is now the SENSORSUIT layer within CORE.

EXOSUITS

The exosuit layer carries domain specialisation. A hard-shell hydrostatic barrier for subsea work shares little material science with a lower-body occlusion garment for high-G flight or a vapour-impermeable CBRN ensemble.

What they share is the interface: mounting geometry, power and data bus, and sensor integration points.

TELEMETRY SOFTWARE

The software layer became Kernel360, launched in late 2024 and recognised with an Australian Good Design Award.

It fuses three streams that sample at different rates: physiological data describing the operator, environmental data describing conditions inside and outside the barrier, and engineering data describing the equipment.

Domain variants now run as Pulse.Land, Pulse.Sea, Pulse.Air and Pulse.Space, sharing a schema and analytics stack.

TEAM AND MISSION

Startup Daily described a team of engineers, medical doctors and scientists, and reported CEO Kiriti Rambhatla's stated mission of democratising spacesuit access and astronaut training.

The validation layer, PROVE, was added subsequently.

VALIDATION ADDED SINCE

PROVE runs SUITRIX test rigs, SYNHUM human surrogates and SYNSUIT digital twin prediction. Prediction running alongside measurement extends the validated envelope where the two converge and isolates faults where they do not.
