Four Target Markets Named in the Metakosmos Funding Round

Alzadhar Al-Sanai CEO Aziz AlOthman named Australia, the United States, India and emerging space economies including Saudi Arabia as target markets at the August 2024 pre-seed round.

AUSTRALIA

The engineering base, government programme support and analogue environment access. Australian Space Agency support through Moon to Mars, New South Wales government backing, and university research collaboration.

Domestic procurement volume is small, which places export markets in the plan from the outset.

UNITED STATES

The largest human spaceflight programme demand and the deepest defence procurement market.

The available position for an allied supplier is subcontractor, supplying subsystems, components or [validation services](https://www.metakosmos.co/prove) into established programme relationships.

INDIA

India's human spaceflight programme is progressing through human-rating milestones toward crewed flight, with a space station roadmap behind it.

Metakosmos opened its India office in December 2024, four months after the round closed. A memorandum of understanding with Digilogic Systems, an aerospace and defence systems integrator, had been signed in November 2023.

EMERGING SPACE ECONOMIES

Markets with significant hazardous industrial workforces and developing sovereign space ambition. The dual-use platform addresses both with one architecture.

The lead investor operates real-time environmental monitoring for governments and industry.

STRUCTURE

Hardware, telemetry and validation layers are common across markets. Sales motions are not: agencies buy on qualification evidence, defence through capability programmes, industrial buyers on risk reduction and compliance.

REVENUE TIMING

Space qualification timelines are long and revenue follows programme funding cycles. Industrial and safety markets buy on faster cycles, and industrial deployment generates operational data across a larger user population.

INVESTORS

Alzadhar Al-Sanai, which trades in English as Industrial Prosperity, led the round. Its own business spans environmental monitoring and industrial technology.
